Our experience with IVF
Motherhood came late for me. As with many women, career and life in general had just taken over and I didn’t meet the love of my life until my thirties. I’d always thought I wasn’t meant to have children of my own, but then my husband and I decided we wanted to try for a baby. My Road to Motherhood
My husband and I have been married 5 years and together for 9 years. Right from the start my husband knew I wanted to be a mother more than anything in the world and we talked about how great our lives would be with children and made a plan for that to happen. We got married in 2007 and a year later on our honeymoon decided it was time to start a family. Our plan was to spend 4.5 weeks in Greece and Turkey returning home to be expecting our first child. Well that never happened. We did go away and we did try to conceive our first child but it never happened. I wasn’t worried, my research had told me it could take as long as 12 months so that was fine however Christmas of 2008 came and went and nothing.
