Female Fertility Testing

After your female fertility assessment, we may recommend further testing, including blood tests to check your hormone levels and ovulation cycles. If necessary, we may also perform non-invasive ultrasounds to assess follicle growth, antral follicle count and reproductive anatomy. Some tests may need to be timed with your cycle, but many happen together, with results returning within a week.

Male Fertility Testing

Since fertility involves both partners, evaluating male fertility is also a crucial part of understanding the barriers that can come with growing your family. Low sperm count, poor sperm quality, and abnormal morphology are just some of the issues that can affect conception. Though male fertility assessments aren’t directly offered at Fertility SA, we refer men to our trusted partners for extensive evaluations.

What’s Included In A Fertility Assessment?

While the initial assessment is at no added cost, subsequent testing may require additional payment.

Your free fertility test includes:

Initial 30-90 minute telehealth consultation

Comprehensive medical history review

Personal fertility evaluation

Personalised treatment plan

Basic hormone and follicle testing

Expert recommendations for next steps

Fertility Consultation

The first consultation is all about gaining an insight into you. We’ll ask questions about your lifestyle, physical health, nutrition, cycle, and current efforts to conceive. Afterwards, we will begin mapping out a personalised strategy, whether that’s ovulation tracking or referrals for more intensive treatment.

Fertility Blood Tests

If needed, we’ll use various fertility blood tests and ultrasounds to detect key hormones related to fertility health, ovarian reserve, and overall reproductive balance. Your dedicated specialist will walk through the results step-by-step, ensuring you're comfortable and informed about what comes next.

Ovulation Tracking For Women

Our bulk-billed ovulation tracking allows us to understand your cycle through precise timing and targeted testing. By identifying your fertile window, we can see how your body works and determine whether any medical intervention may be needed.

Hormone Level Checks For Both Genders

Testing hormone levels for both men and women can identify any hormonal imbalances that may be affecting fertility.

For women, we check hormone levels such as AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) for ovarian reserve, with options to check FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) for egg production, LH Luteinizing Hormone for ovulation timing, estrogen for ovarian function, and progesterone for confirming ovulation.

For men, our trusted providers assess blood for FSH & LH for sperm production, and testosterone to measure sexual function and overall health.

Why Choose Bulk Billed Fertility Assessments At Fertility SA?

  • Fertility screening tests include blood tests, ultrasounds, and lifestyle assessments for both partners to identify potential barriers to conception and understand reproductive health.

  • A fertility test for women involves ovulation tracking, evaluating hormone levels, checking ovarian reserve, and using ultrasounds to assess ovarian function, antral follicle count and uterine anatomy.

  • A male fertility test in Adelaide includes semen analysis to assess sperm count, motility, and morphology, alongside hormone level evaluations to understand potential causes of infertility.

  • Fertility testing is a highly individualised process. The type of tests you undergo may differ from others. They typically begin with a consultation, followed by blood tests, results reviews, and, if needed, additional diagnostic evaluations.
